A practical, one-year grounding in psychology, counselling theory and supervised practice — the recognised route into professional counselling in Sri Lanka.
Theory, skills and real practice
The Diploma blends the foundations of psychology and counselling theory with the hands-on skills of the counselling room.
You will study how people change, learn to hold a therapeutic conversation, and practise under the supervision of experienced counsellors.
The course runs over one year in two parts — ten months online, then two months of physical classes for psychotherapeutic techniques and counselling skills. Pass both examinations and you become eligible for membership of the Institute.

Ten subjects across two parts
